Richard Flowers Comunity Housing Apartments, 1 and 2-Bedroom, Affordable Multi-Family Housing Project-Based Waiting List

The Housing Authority of Cook County (HACC) last accepted Affordable Multi-Family Housing waiting list applications for 1 and 2-Bedroom apartments at Richard Flowers Community Housing Apartments from August 26, 2024, until August 23, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

This waiting list is for the following property:

• Richard Flowers Community Housing located at 13900 S. Grace Ave., Robbins, IL 60472. Offering 1 and 2-bedroom units.

Income Qualification

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

• 1 Person $38, 650 | 4 Persons $55,150
• 2 Persons $44,150 | 5 Persons $59,600
• 3 Persons $49, 650 | 6 Person $64,000

Preferences

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Families with children
• Veterans and Veterans Widows/Widowers
• Victims of Domestic Violence
• Working Families
  • and those unable to work due to age (ages 67 years and older) or disability, applicants who are enrolled in an apprenticeship; job readiness training or work placement program.
• Elderly Families
  • head, spouse, co-head or sole member is 62 years of age or older
• Disabled Families
  • head spouse, co-head or sole member is a person with disabilities
• Homeless Families
  • an individual or family, who lacks a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence and whose primary nighttime residence is supervised publicly or privately operated shelter designed to provide temporary living accommodations; or an institution that provides a temporary residence for individuals intended to be institutionalized, or a public or private place not designed for, or ordinarily used as a regular sleeping accommodation for human beings. Verification for this preference may include documentation provided by a homeless service organization
• A displaced person from an urban renewal area, government actions, or a major disaster

Selection Process

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, weighed by order of preferences.

Application Method

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.
