Pinal County, Arizona Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Pinal County Housing Authority (PCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from February 16, 2021 until April 20, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to call the PCHA.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:

• 1 Person $27,250 | 5 Persons $42,050
• 2 Persons $31,150 | 6 Persons $45,150
• 3 Persons $35,050 | 7 Persons  $48,250
• 4 Persons $38,900 | 8 Persons $51,350

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Homeless (1 point) Applicants in which the head or sole member is homeless and are receiving assistance from an agency servicing the ongoing needs of homeless persons by providing long term case management. Or, has received services from a shelter program. (The credentials of the agency providing the case management will be verified to ensure compliance with the Section 8 family obligations, and that the homeless person’s needs are being addressed to prevent a return to homelessness.) 
• Veterans (1 points) Applicants in which the sole member or the head, co-head, or Spouse is a veteran of the armed forces.
• Elderly or Disabled (1 points) Applicants in which the head, cohead, or spouse is 62 years of age and older or disabled.
• Victim of Domestic Violence (1 point) Applicants who are victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking. PCHD requires referral from a domestic violence transition program, or documentation to support domestic violence claim such as police reports or order of protection.
• All other applicants (0 points) Applicants who do not meet the definition in the other preference categories.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
