North Carolina Commission of Indian Affairs Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

Please note: The North Carolina Commission of Indian Affairs (NCCIA) manages individual Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting lists for the Counties of Granville, Hoke, Person, Sampson, and Warren, NC; and provides assistance in the Counties of Halifax and Columbus, NC through special agreements with local housing authorities. Please view waiting list information for each county below. We will update this page as more information becomes available.

Please note: These waiting lists have a preference. This means that applicants who qualify for this preference will receive assistance before applicants who do not. Because of this preference, applicants who do not qualify may have a longer wait to receive assistance.

These waiting lists have the following preference: Terminated from HCV program due to insufficient funding.

Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time of pre-application submission, by order of preferences.

Applicants can check their status on the waiting list by calling (501) 537-7741.

Important note: Applicants who have been placed on the waiting list must inform the housing authority immediately if your application information changes (such as contact information, income, and household members). In the case that the office sends a notice that does not get returned, or if application information is out of date, your name may be terminated from the waiting list.

The Granville County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for one day only in May 19, 2016, and before that in 2014.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete a pre-application at the PACT Center at Oxford Housing Authority.

The Columbus County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for one day only in May 2016, and before that in 2010. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete a pre-application at the Buckhead Community Center.

The Person County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for one day only in May 2016, and before that in 2014. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete a pre-application at the Lyle Street Community Center.

The Warren County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for one day only in May 2016, and before that in 2014. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete a pre-application at the NCCIA Warren County branch.

The Halifax County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for one day only in May 2016, and before that in 2014. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete a pre-application at the NCCIA Halifax County branch.

The Hoke County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open in 2015. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

The Sampson County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open in 2014. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.
